Fae folk are so varied. Some look and act like common men or dwarves, while others can be as tiny as a bee, darting under the shining leaves. Or perhaps all fae can be either, and can change at will?
I’ve seen a few like this around the garden, gathering the swelling berries before the birds plunder them all. They’re shy, keeping to themselves, but not so meek that we never see them. Tiny things like acorn caps and nutshells are left in safe places for them to find, should they prove useful, and I notice one acorn cap has been put to good use.
I wonder sometimes how often they must be in the house, too. Tiny motions out of the corner of your eyes, little things being misplaced for a while and then returned, odd sounds or lights at night… well, rather fae than spiders, I suppose.
