Gilded

There’s a strange place far to the north, where a great field spreads for miles and miles. It is empty, except for a few kinds of grass and flowers, and the gold-rippled rocks that rise from the meadows at random, seemingly from nowhere. Very little lives on those plains, only small birds and rabbits and small, sleek foxes, but there is a spirit there.

A wildcat with blazing eyes and a flighty nature, she watches any rare visitors to her plains and guards her gilded rocks with care. No-one is yet sure if the rocks have any unusual properties, but certainly she defends them with all the strength that a small cat can muster. Even animals she drives away, so there must be some reason to her task.
