In the deepest hours of the night when most are asleep, the towns and cities become a bright display of light and mystery. Tiny fae live all over this world, in attics and gardens and basements and chimneys, and they enjoy the quiet moments to come out and dance in the moonlight. Most of the townsfolk won’t even know this happens, or think it only a one off event, or a dream.
If you see a display like this for yourself, you might find your eyes growing heavy and your mind growing dull as the fae magic tries to drive away strangers. Animals seem less effected, although some are just as susceptible to the spell as people are; dogs in particular will slump into a snooze under the fae’s influence. In contrast, cats seem unaffected and even welcomed into the moment, though nobody knows why.
