If you ever feel that you are being watched when you walk the woods, you probably are. Fae guard their woodland homes with great care, and while they do little more than watch those that pass by, stray too close to somewhere special and you might find yourself confronted.
Not all fae are small. Some of them are large, though rarely taller than a human. These larger fae are usually silent, still, and really quite eerie, watching from some point of elevation with sharp eyes. It is rare for them to attack and drive off an intruder – usually there is no need to, as being confronted by a large fae is intimidation enough to drive away trespassers. If you ever find yourself face to face with a defensive fae, your best approach is to quietly walk away.
