Do not judge this book by its scrappy, scarred cover. Nora may look grumpy but she is actually quite a gentle sweetheart, even if she doesn’t like to show it. Her scars are from an accident many years ago, but she was always a tough cookie and seems to have adopted them into part of her style.
Nora is typically met with concern, for some think her wild – they do not realise that she is very quiet, mostly a homebody, and very much enjoys literature, sometimes even reading to other familiars or sharing and swapping stories in her weekly meet-up. I suspect that Nora actually enjoys this reputation that she has earned and seems wholly unwilling to change it. If anything, she is keen to show off her scars, often removing her hat so all is visible, even her tatty ear.
