Another very young student here is Rocket. We thought, at first, he was maybe too young for school, but even if he is, he seems to be enjoying it regardless. He turned up on his own one day and nobody had the heart to send him away.
It must be said that Rocket is utterly hopeless in classes, but that is to be expected at his age. His hunting technique simply consists of “run at it giggling and grab it if you’re lucky.” His nest building approach is to just not, because he’s small enough to hide in animal dens if the weather turns. His flight is clumsy and heavy, but he has such fun doing it.
All of these will improve as he ages, we’re sure, and his brazen attitude seems to motivate the other students when they quaver. If tiny young Rocket will give something a go, the other students are sure to try, too.
