In our midst we also have a budding cartographer, ready with paper and brushes to map the lands far and wide… if she wasn’t so sleepy.

Pumpkin can often be found sleeping. It’s a mixture of two things – her species and her age. The Mildmood dragons of the heathlands tend to be very reserved and static even as adults, but the hatchlings need even more rest than their elders. They lay in the sunshine and store the energy, not waking for storms, hail, even animals crawling across them, or humans hiking over them, oblivious.

When awake, Pumpkin is quite involved in the classes and still manages to keep up. Her mapping efforts are so far accurate and yet oddly stylish. Sometimes she misses a class or two, but we fear she’d fall asleep on the wing if forced to attend.
