A very rare visitor indeed! Soll is our first phoenix at the school and, given their rarity, probably the last. At first the students were shy and afraid to approach Soll’s fiery feathers and tail, but a few games of chase soon sorted out any awkward feelings.
Soll still tends to practice alone, however, due to his tendency to set himself alight when he’s having fun. His fire rises and quiets with his moods, so a good flight can leave him shining like a dazzling torch, hissing in the rain and steaming in the cold.
The cold mountain nights have made him a popular roommate, and on freezing nights we’ve found great heaps of students wrapped in their bedding all gathered together in the dining hall, or the library, with Soll blazing away in the centre like a campfire.
