Aspa

We cannot improve without the odd trip or stumble. Poor Aspa, however, has fallen more than any student I have known before.

As a teacher it can be frustrating to watch. Like all of his kin, Cloudtop dragons are naturally very good fliers, sailing on high winds with barely a flap of their wings. For whatever reason, Aspa came to this school already believing that he could not fly, and that notion has plagued him ever since.

Slowly he gets better and his confidence grows, and I hope that one day it will all click into place; that his wings will find themselves supported in all winds, and that he’ll stop noticing his peers and live for a moment in his own achievements, rather than theirs. For now, he practices in good humour, and it is hoped by all that his humour takes him to the highest winds of all.
