Nature does many rare things that most of us will never see, but perhaps the strangest and most adored is the circling rope of winds that travel the world sometimes. Clouds get caught in its looping pull, but within the vortex is calm and steady. It makes for excellent flight or sailing, and is seen as a blessing to those who’ve been lost for too long. Often the protective magic of the circle – the Caim – is remarked upon.

There are many tales and theories regarding its purpose or origins, but perhaps this mystery does not need explaining. Perhaps we should simply admire the phenomenon, commonly called a Caimwind, and enjoy our fleeting glimpses of it.
