Spirits don’t just form in great wild things. Although unusual, it may be that a well-loved herb garden or rockery might see its own little caretaker rise from the energy and magic there. A small one might even grow in a window box, or in a single raised vegetable bed.

It may seem strange, at first, to keep something like a spirit in a domestic situation, but if that is from whence it came, then that is where it should stay. They need no food or special care, although treats and kindness are most welcome. Do not worry too much about the little garden they keep; their origin is not the plants grown, but the passion with which they are grown.
