Familiars graduate too, you know! Look, I got to wear the robe and everything!

I know, it’s not for everyone, and not everyone wants or needs the more formal, strict education the schools and colleges offer. But we – my mage and I – wanted to practice magical medicines and remedies with confidence, so it was right for us. And after so much graft and studying, it is nice to be rewarded with a little moment like this, but it’s what we do next that matters the most, we suspect.

I had to sit different exams to my Greg. I have to recognise herbs by scent, and mushrooms by growing times, fruit by colour (I don’t see as Greg does) and beetles by sound (sounds that Greg can’t hear.) It’s hard work and took a lot of practice and quite a few mistakes, but at least I got it right in the end. I’m proud of myself! I’m gonna hang this by my bed.
