I can’t believe I almost ate that.

I’m a simple dog, I like simple things. I like to chase leaves and catch them in the wind, and my mage, Kari, enjoys throwing great plumes of them for me. But it looks like we disturbed a faerie at the beginning of her hibernation – not all of them hibernate, but some kinds do, apparently. Kari tossed up the leaf pile and I went to catch that big shiny leaf… A leaf has never screamed at me before, it was most baffling.

Still, the faeries seems okay, and that’s the most important thing. We’ll help her build a safe place to hibernate, and give her some food for the spring. But now I’ll be terrified every time I chase a leaf that it’s gonna scream at me again…
