Old Roots

Deep in the old woods, the woods that have grown and thrived for far longer than history can recall, you might find the glowing villages in the roots of towering trees. Oaks, elms, yews and more grow rampant in the magic of the old world, passing far beyond their common scale. Many kinds of folk have made their homes about these trees, including this old settlement, likely a surface village for dwarves to trade with the other races through.

The village is maintained and preserved – any damage done to the trees is old and long forgotten, so the great hall makes a welcome stopover for travellers. And although it boasts service and rooms of the utmost quality, the prices remain low; better than leaving cash-strapped wanderers to the will of the old woods. More than old trees lurk in the shadows…
