Timeless

Far out to sea stand the Stone Leviathans. No-one knows when they were built, or who built them, but they have withstood the brutal assaults of the ocean and her ruthless storms for many millennia.

They’re carved from columns of dense, unbreakable rock that even the sea cannot eat away at. Tides have swept away the surrounding rock and dirt, but the dark, untouchable stone resists all erosion. Modern tools barely dent it, and even magic has little effect on it. How did the the original creators shape them, and why?

We can rarely linger here; the brooding storms are closing in again, and we must leave now, or not at all.
