Like most babies, dragon pups love sweet things. Adult dragons tend to lose their fondness of sugary treats in favour of spicy foods, but the infants will protest and complain about savoury dishes, especially in their first year.

Fruit is the best thing to feed them to satisfy their cravings. Of course they prefer cakes and cookies, but pups can pile on weight at a tremendous pace. Some puppy-fat is to be expected, but do resist those big, pleading eyes as best as you can. Cake isn’t something a pup would find in the wilderness.

Strawberries, however, are, along with apples and berries and oranges and peaches, and much more. Older pups will even eat the pups and stones of fruit. Just make sure your pup cleans their teeth routinely.
