Yes, it’s possible to have more than one. And it doesn’t mean the bond between them all is lessened. The result is usually a strange family group, sometimes a little chaotic, but also full of joy.

This many familiars is quite an unusual arrangement, but what works for some does not work for all. Some mages have no familiar at all, and many have only one. Others, like Marco, have a whole menagerie.

Marco’s first was an eagle. She’s still with him now, her life and time tied to his. By his late teens he had several companion sparrows, then came the hawks, and the wrens, and the falcons, and even a chicken, though she typically stays at home.
