Starry Eyed

It’s nice, isn’t it? All quiet and still beneath the distant lights of far-off worlds… I often wonder if we are a star in someone else’s night sky.

Sometimes I like to imagine what those other worlds must look like, but they always look too much like ours, I feel. Something so distant would be unimaginably different, something we cannot comprehend without witnessing it. Which, in turn, means we are incomprehensible to any other worlds looking back at us. Yet to ourselves, we seem quite ordinary.

I wonder if we are part of any constellations, and what meaning or fortune we bring to those linked with us? I hope it’s something cool. Claws crossed, I’m hoping it’s decent firepower. Always handy.
